Plan for the evening of Tuesday 25th October 2011

All,

Ammon and I will be sitting in room 206 from 6:15. B1 has already booked a time so if you are keen to see us please let us know and we will allocate a time.

If nobody is around at 7:30pm then we will leave. We have no specific focus tonight other than being here for you if you want/need us for anything.

Thursday will be the same. Hope everything is going smoothly, looking forward to seeing you soon.

Pay it Forward: the Software Edition

Hey guys,

just a question before we descend into (pre?)/production/post-production:

I have an embarrassing Adobe question -

I've previously only made my line drawings pretty in InDesign, but now I want to use Photoshop. Though won't that change the line drawings from vectors into pixels? I just tested it out by importing a PDF into Photoshop, then updating the older file in InDesign - but now the image looks more pixellated, even after I have 'Display' set to 'High Performance'.

Please someone help me!

And since I feel bad badgering you with a question, here is a post-production technique I've found handy:

1. Export 3D model as 2D graphic.

2. Print out and trace over.

3. Scan the trace in, then print out on watercolour paper (needs to be thin enough)

4. Paint the line-drawing with watercolour then scan back in.

5. Photoshop: Dodge / Burn.

6. Often overlaying your watercolour with the original 2D graphic gives a great depth and texture.

Streets = protest grounds

"What Robert Doyle hasn't figured out yet is that, regardless of what happens here today, and even if the police and Robert Doyle are successful (in removing them), this won't be the end of it," he said.

"Eviction is a very short term thing.

"We will move next door to the church. This is going to get bigger in one way or another.

"There's this underlying dissatisfaction. People are not happy about the gap between haves and the have nots."
