Opportunity for publication work over the next 6 weeks?

Hi Everyone,

long time no see!
I hear that many of you graduated, and a few of you were nominated to the Bates Smart prize and Ben Shields won! Congratulations Ben 1!!!!!!!!!

I hope this finds you all well and enjoying a nice break.

I am contacting you because Richard, Tim and I would still like to publish your work from the studio we had together. We have a little bit of funding.

Would any of you be interested in this?

It will need good indesign skills and keenness to work with Tim and I.

We would also attribute your contribution to the design.

Please get back to me ASAP via direct email if you are interested - we would like to find someone in the next week.

Feedback session

HI everyone,

Hope you are all having a good break!
I've just managed to find some time to send you the handwritten feedback Tim and I completed when marking your final projects.
We will offer a face to face time in the new year, hope this finds you well

Ammon and Tim

Close Overplay - feedback session

Tim and I would like to run a little feedback session, both for us and for you.
Can some of you email us to let us know your availability if this is a difficult time?
We are thinking either after 17 December or in the new year

Best regards,
Ammon

HI team

Congratulations etc

Dear Studio

Sincere congratulations to you for your semester's work, the guests last night and for judging the awards repeatedly commended the quality of the work. We hope you understood too how impressed Richard was.

We want to thank you too for setting up the EYES exhibition space late last night (and a special thank you to Rivkah who was so generous with her time yesterday afternoon.) It all ran very smoothly.

Having spoken after to a number of those present in the judging panel we are to understand that it was a very difficult process, particularly due the high quality of the work across the board. Different to last year, the judges struggled to find clear winners, and were very split right to the end. This is a testament to how valuable your work was in producing diverse ideas. As Alex said, each one of the projects did come up as a favourite for one judge or another, the final 4 came as a combination of common denominators, strong opinions, vigorous discussion, compromise and argument. We do definitely commend the four projects Jade, Emma, Euric, Ben, as stand outs through the difficult process, and hear very honestly Alex's commendation of the other eleven. We will work out how to distribute the awards in the coming month or so.

Tim and I decided on Wednesday eveningwhich projects we wanted to showcase in the atrium for EYES. We decided this on grounds for exhibiting, as difference to last year's work, ability to communicate the studio themes, and ability to represent the broad range of projects in the studio both in approaches and detail. We chose a pair to do this of Euric and B1.

Tim and I are yet to do the final grading of your projects and semester's work, and will be submitting to moderation on Tuesday afternoon. Please try to keep away from us academically, at least till the end of next week. We intend to give you clear feedback after the marks come out. We would also like your feedback for our own learning and improvement. If any one is going away, please let us know so we can consider another time to meet.

If anyone is interested andor capable with publishing skills (indesign and web) we have set aside a chunk of the grant to final publication of your work in combination with last year's studio. If anyone would like to apply to do this with Tim and I, please let us know.

See you tonight at EYES,

your proud tutors,
Ammon and Tim and Richard

Possibility of transferring to UNI tonight after the expo?

Hey A + T + players,

I'm just wondering what the chances are of transporting things to uni tonight after the closing would be?
- as ALL of us should be there - with people that should help us transport to uni??
I've just been talking to the others who have the exam tomorrow - and it would be much more preferable to NOT have to come in tomorrow morning. I know my friends from other studios who have the exam tommorrow are brining their things in tonight as Holly Davies sent an email saying this was fine???
BUT - if this is not an option - i'm also happy to help for a couple of hours on friday.

See you all tonight!
Looking forward to celebrating!

Ps - Jade i'll just be using what we have at the cathedral also (no time or funds to re-print anything!)
Was thinking if everyone sets up ALL heir panels on one cardboard stand - with 2 bulldog clips up the top - all your work can be flicked through - and be 'seen'?? Just a thought...
